Take a glass of your choice, e.g. a champagne glass, wine glass, bowl or similar container and fill it with cold tap water. Now take a knife tip of the supplied dye concentrate* and colour the water as desired. |
With the amount of water you also regulate the height of the flame, i.e.: little water - flame lower, more water - flame higher, in the vessel. Now pour approx. 0.5 - 1.0cm cheap vegetable oil onto the surface of the water, the surface must be completely covered with salad oil. |
Now cut approx. 1.8 cm off the wick cord supplied. (See also the measurements on the packaging). Now push the wick into the receptacle as far as it will go. The float is closed at the lowest end. This must be the case because if you cut off the receptacle and pull the wick through, it will hang in the water and can no longer burn. |
Drop the float, wick up, onto the salad oil surface. Wait until the three channels are full of salad oil and the wick has drawn some of the salad oil. Now you can light your self-created dream light. |
Your dream image will burn for approx. 8 - 10 hours. However, you can put it out at any time and light it again the next day. When the wick is used up, remove the float, insert a new wick and keep using the float. |
If you want to put out your oil lamp, it is sufficient to submerge the float briefly, e.g. with a toothpick, a Kulimine or similar. You don't need to blow out the flame, because the floats are unsinkable and always come back to their old position, so you can relight your oil lamp whenever you want. |
With the new float connections*, you can put your floats together at the oil channels as you wish, e.g. to create a star, circle or similar in your shell. |

Important notes:
*not included in every offer!
- Just like candles or any "open fire", the oil lamp must not burn without supervision, extinguish the flame before leaving the room or falling asleep (e.g. on the couch watching TV)!
- Keep children and pets away at all costs!
- When setting up the oil lamp, make sure that it stands securely and firmly - the vessel must not tip over, keep your distance from flammable objects (e.g. curtains, curtained clothing, etc.)!
- Extinguish the flame before all(!) oil has burned, otherwise the float may be damaged!
- If the flame becomes smaller, a "black deposit" has probably formed on the wick, carefully lift it upwards - with a toothpick, needle or similar. - carefully upwards.
